Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea is the single and title track from Nashville via Philadelphia-based artist Hayley Cass that debuted on 11.19.2021.

The concept album features unique songwriting and a blend of soul, jazz and blues that will be released one song at a time over the course of the next year.

Multi-layered vocals and harmonies weave over an acoustic backdrop of dense production provided by some of the most talented studio musicians in Philadelphia. The debut single includes fellow Spring Garden Records artists The Mini Q’s Luke Carlos O’Reilly and Ben O’Neill who provide keyboards and guitar. They are joined by in-demand bassist Jon Smith and Philadelphia production legend Chuck Treece. Cass’ songwriting is the focus however, showing masterful lyricism and melodic writing. On the uplifting debut single, Cass sings “You keep on crying on your knees beggin’ child. You keep on praying for a day, oh I got to say, Show Me The Way”.

On December 31st 2021, Hayley Cass followed with her second single, “Conqueror” and her third song, “You’re Not Mine”, on 2.11.2022.

Cass’ album is being released through Philadelphia’s Spring Garden Records and will be available on all streaming platforms.
